A Good Movie
We rented a wonderful movie the other night, and I wanted to tell you about it. The movie was "Miss Potter", and I think it's my new favorite. The movie is set in the early 1900s and is the story of Beatrix Potter, famous children's book author. Renee Zelwegger is the star of the movie, and she does a most stupendous job of portraying Miss Potter. I will say that even though B watched this movie with me, it is a chick-flick, and it is a little sad in places. However, if you are a fan of this time period, I think you will love it. It is clean and wholesome, but children under 10 or 11 probably would not enjoy it so very much. It is for rent exclusively at Blockbuster, so if you are looking for something to watch tonight, I highly recommend that you head over and pick it up. They are likely to have it, as I had never heard of it--and there was no mad rush to get it--- unlike the "The Astronaut Farmer", which is never on the shelf when I go in. I'm not bitter.

Hi! Thanks for your comment!

I have really been wanting to see "Miss Potter" - I love Beatrix Potter and think the movie looks really cute. Renee Zelwegger almost always pleases me with her performances. We'll have to check it out!

My husband grew up in Spokane and we hope to live over there someday. It's so different than Seattle, and a LOT fewer people!! Now you're in Mississippi? That's a big change!

:)

I watched this a week or so ago and loved it! I agree; it's a great chick flick. Ewan McGregor was fantastic in it as well.

I have been to Blockbuster FIVE times in the past two weeks looking for The Astronaut Farmer...and it's never there.

I did pick up Miss Potter instead, but we returned it unwatched. Even took it with us on vacation and no one wanted to watch it. Guess I'll have to get it next time! Thanks for the recommendation!

Oh yeah! I have had this movie in my queue at Netflix ever since it came out. It has a "very long wait" so it may be a while longer before I can get it. So glad to hear it's good and you enjoyed it :)

I have Astronaut Farmer in my queue also, so let us know what you think when you do rent that one. Thanks!

Dion also enjoyed the movie but more for the creative process than anything else, he tells me. He's clearly the creative, not me!

How are you doing, busy Jenna?

I might add the Miss Potter one to my netflix....for some reason I wasn't sure I could get into Astronaut Farmer, let me know if it's good! I see that Judi liked it so maybe I'll rethink it.
