Internet Woes
My stinky Internet service has been a pain in the you know what for the last 24 hours or so. It kicks me offline constantly. Today has been a good day-I got all the bills paid and went to the school and made our first payment for the year. That part wasn't so fun, but I am getting excited about them starting school--and they just have 12 days left. I think we're ready--I just have to get to town and buy their many school supplies. I can tell you that if we were homeschooling, though, it would still be awhile before we started. So, with me STILL feeling burned out, it's probably a good thing they are going this year. I had such a nice time in Missouri. I spent good quality time with my sisters. My kids enjoyed doing some things they never get to do here, like sleeping in an RV for two nights, swimming in a gravel bottom creek, shooting off bottle rockets, and riding down a big hill in a wagon. I'm quite sure they had a blast. We also got in a trip to the St. Louis zoo--both sisters, our kids, and our step-niece and nephew. It was a good time. B's recently widowed grandmother took us out for Mexican food one day and drove us around to all their old home sites. We had a wonderful time with my cousin--the kids spent hours playing play station--which I never allow. My cousin and I spent hours sitting at her kitchen bar just talking. The night before we left, we got to have dinner with B's aunt and sister and family at Cracker Barrel. Yum. I also managed to get in a couple of trips to Dairy Queen and brought home a bunch of bagels from Panera Bread (we don't have either of those places anywhere around us). It was a good time. And I'm glad to be home.

I'm glad you're home, too! I'm glad ya'll had such a good time.

BTW, after seeing yours, I decided to dive into the cooking blog world, too. I had been thinking about it and wanting to for a while and you inspired me!!:) I wanted a way to keep my favorite recipes easily recorded. I think this will work well.

I'm so glad that you had a wonderful time. I love visiting family and just sitting around talking. That's the best part of the whole trip :)

OH, love some Dairy Queen or DQ as we say around here. I am glad you have the cooking blog. Told my hubby about Monday Menu and said, I can use that to start cooking more when I start back to work. Can't wait to try some of your recipes.

I haven't been to cracker barrel in ages, love that place! Glad you got away and had good family time and good food. I guess it was worth the sacrifice of having you gone for a whole week :o)...
Happy Wednesday!

I've been having internet woes too...it's so frustrating!

I LOVE Panera. Their salads are so yummy, and whenever we eat there, I always bring bagels home for breakfast the next morning.

The last time my mom flew into Denver, I took her to Panera to eat, and then bought a dozen bagels to take home. There had been a little problem with her sandwich, so the manager threw in 6 extra bagels. I made it home with EIGHTEEN bagels, and it took so long to eat those. I think I ended up throwing a few of them out, but not without weeping and gnashing of teeth. I can't stand to waste perfectly good food...especially Panera bagels. LOL! Glad you have some to enjoy!

Internet problems are so frustrating! I hope you won't have any more. I bet your kids are excited! My son starts kindergarten on the 27th. He is thrilled, but I am nearing a crying breakdown!

Here's to video games for the kids while Mommy chats. I'm all for it, on those special occasions.

Glad you had such a great time, and hope your internet starts behaving itself. We just got ours back, and I'm so excited to able to visit all my favorite bloggers again.

Well I'm NOT glad you're back there b/c I'd much rather you be here! ... Hate when the internet is acting up. I've been online all day trying to get flight, hotel and car for Colorado for my cousin's wedding. It can be frustrating even when it is working correctly - but I'm impatient.

Isn't it awful when the internet doesn't behave? Mine was acting up on Saturday.

I'm so glad you had such a wonderful time!

We should be starting school this month but I don't think we will. I don't have everything ordered yet and I'm feeling pokey. I think we'll start in September.

Are they excited about school? I think the schools start next week here, tell them it could be worse :)

Have a great day, and kick that Internet box so it will stay online for you all day!
