The Heat Is On
Ok--I really don't mean to be all gloomy and doomy on this blog o' mine, but you just won't believe what's happened now! Our downstairs AC unit went out last night. Yes, it's true. It would be absolutely disastrous in this 467 degree heat if we didn't have an upstairs unit that's "bustin' it's tail" right now to semi-cool this house. So far, it's working pretty good, but it's only made it to 92 degrees outside at this hour. Who knows what will happen when it's noon and 382 degrees. Spontaneous combustion, I'm guessing. The repair man will be here "sometime today", and while I am not thrilled about the huge bill he will give me for this, I am thankful that he can be here "sometime today". I am also very thankful that we have a second unit. On a much cooler note, today is my friend Annie's birthday. Please be sure to go by and wish her a happy, happy day! She is an incredible lady, and I love her dearly. Go by and get to know her if you haven't already. I think you will be impressed. 'Cause she's somethin'! Happy Birthday, Annie.

I'm soooo sorry! I'm feelin' your pain. Want me to bring over some refreshing BlueBell ice cream? ;)
Or better yet, you're welcome to my a/c that's bustin' it's tail to keep it around 78 in here!!

Oh no! You're so lucky to have another unit, otherwise, it would be awful. We have one, really old unit, that is running nearly 24 hours a day with this lovely heat wave we're having. I hope the guys gets there in a timely manner and it's easy to fix. Hope you guys are chillin soon :)

Yucky! No air is the pits ... well, completely without ac is the pits ... at least you have some cool in there still. I think you should probably prepare yourself for another *meltdown* when that bill comes. Just stick your head in the freezer, LOL, and wish it all away! :o)

I hope you get it fixed TODAY! I can't even imagine. I am sure it is as hot there as it is here (103 today). I won't even play outside unless we are swimming! I hope you will be cooling off soon!

Oh my goodness! I hope the guy makes it "today" or I'm sure you'll be heading to the nearest Walmart to buy some fans for tonight!

I'll be sending cool thoughts your way! :)

Our heat pump decided to croak a few weeks ago. Thankfully, the next morning when we turned it on to "test" it before calling a repair man, it worked! Praying that yours will be fixed quickly and inexpensively!

Oh man, I am so sorry your AC went out! That stinks!!!!
I'm hoping that the repair guy came and fixed it all up for you, and that you didn't melt waiting for him to show up.
Have a great Friday!
God bless :)

Hope they got it fixed! I don't know how people lived without air for all those years! It gets pretty miserable.

Ugh I hate when that happens! Hope they were able to get it fixed! We're having a scheduled power outtage tomorrow from 12-2...right in the middle of the heat of day! Guess we'll be going out to lunch or something!
