How Could This Be Possible?
5 pounds. That's how much my weight is up since last month--Yikes. How did that happen? Perhaps the extra Coke I've been drinking everyday for the past couple weeks--or maybe the extra trips to Sonic--or maybe the ice cream sundaes at 9 o'clock at night. Blue bell is evil and sensational all at the same time, you know. The truth is, I am actually over my "I'll never weigh that much" limit at this moment--so it is time to get serious. My mom always said, "Lose it while there's little to lose," so I am getting in gear to drop a few. You may--or you may not--remember that I had joined the May Weight Loss Challenge--well, I quit. Big mistake (pun intended). So, the way I see it, I have a month or thereabouts to get my weight back into my "comfort zone" before the challenge actually ends. Pray for me because the Coke--she's a callin', and we won't even talk about the Blue Bell (or was that Coach J calling about the Blue Bell?--inside joke). I am so glad the kids are starting school, and we will be able to get on a good schedule. My exercise habits should get back to normal then! Pray hard. **A side note: A funny and interesting incident happened between Annie, Coach J, and I recently. I think Annie will be telling about it soon. **Another side note: I enjoyed tirl-ing with you today, Annie--even if I had trouble hearing you half the time because of all the planes flying over my house. Hope your lunch was great.

Jenna, I could have written this! Normally, I don't have too much trouble maintaining in summer, it's winter that is the problem. I tend to cook more soups/stews, bake more and make homemade bread in the winter. In the summer, we usually eat lighter, more salads, fresh veggies, etc. But, not this year! This summer, I'm eating more ice cream, stopping at Sonic more, and I'm way up over my "never weighed this much before" weight. Ugh. I have to learn to say no to ice cream too!

Good luck!!!

Jenna, I am in the same boat! I would love to be your weight loss partner for the next month. I want to get back down before we go to WDW (of course, then I will gain some of it back). I exercise enough, but I have got to crack down on my eating habits!

yep...I'm wondering how this could happen too. I think it's a combination of vacation and ice cream. And sleeping in instead of hitting the trail or treamill. If we had a Sonic nearby, I would probably be 10lbs heavier rather than 5lbs. LOL!

Next week school starts for us, and I'll be glad to get back into a regular routine that includes exercise.

It sounds like a lot of us are walking the same road!!!

Each time I pray for myself in this area, I'll be praying for you too!!! For some reason....this summer has been especially hard....I'm hoping to get back into a better routine...once school starts.

You should have just gotten out of the house while your air was out...you know, go to Sonic and get an ice cream to cool down! KIDDING! Hope you are able to drop the pounds quickly.

I'm with you on the weight thing! I had dropped a few pounds and then the birthday week hit and I am afraid to weigh but I don't think it'll be pretty. You'll drop it quickly I'm sure!
I enjoyed talking to you too! I thought I heard planes. That's funny I was right by TAFB and not one plane went by me. Very unusual. Chilis was good. Hopefully that ends my birthday tour :o).
I posted about the 'incident.'

Oh btw, loved the card. Did you make it? It is so cute!!!

Thanks again!

♥ ya'!

Wise words from your mom about "losing it." I wish I had heeded her advice twenty pounds or so ago.

If you can make a switch to Diet Coke, that will help a lot! Long ago I gave up sugared sodas, and I can't even drink them now. But I suppose it's better to have what you love in moderation.

Thanks for all your love and prayers across the miles. It means so much to me to have my bloggy friends keeping track of me across the globe!

Jenna,
I'm right there with you. I so need to start working out on a reg basis. It's hard with the two babies...I know it's a lame excuse, but you may actually understand (as opposed to many others who can simply imagine two babes at once)...every time I try to start doing something, someone needs something!!! Good luck!

Remember when the challenge started, I told you we had the same amount to lose? And now I am also heavier than I was at the start.

On the bright side, it is winter here, we're going into spring so I should be easing off all the food. But I went to gym tonight so I am proud of myself for that!

Don't ya just hate how the Coke and ice cream becomes a habit so quickly??? Been there...done that! Good luck fighting off the cravings this week. You should be down the 5 pounds in no time!

I hear ya on the ice cream, been eating a lot of it this summer! I want to get back to walking again regularly but have no one to walk with and I don't like going by myself.
