Homecoming Day
Today is homecoming day in more ways than one. B has been gone since Wed. morning to San Antone--ugh, I hate it when he's gone. He should be home in a couple hours, and I'm ever so glad. It's amazing what a little absence can do for the heart--not that the heart was bad or anything--I do love him dearly. When he is gone, I become distinctly aware of how much I adore him--snoring and all. It will be nice having him snoring in bed next to me again tonight, really it will! Tonight is also the big homecoming football game for my kid's school. And if I knew one iota about football, I would probably be excited about going. The only reasons I am really going is to visit with some good friends, and to see all the homecoming queen candidates dressed up in their pretty dresses---oh, and because I am not in the mood to stay home all by myself tonight. It promises to be a beautiful chilly evening--football weather, from what I hear.

I know what you mean about the football. I don't know much about it and have no interest in it. A couple of weekends ago I did go to my nephew's homecoming game only because he is a senior and because my niece was chosen to be flower girl. Also, my other niece was cheering at the game. We had fun.
We are also going to our local college's tailgating and homecoming game this Sat. Even though it is where I graduated college from, I really don't have a desire to be at the homecoming game. I didn't even go to the games when I was in school there. However, my inlaws always beg us to go to tailgating and the game with them....I'm doing it this time!
I know what you mean about missing your husband. Mine is still in California, and I miss him SO MUCH! I will be so excited to pick him up from the airport when he comes home!!!
Have fun!

Ang glad your husband is home...if it's cold tonight, snuggle with him at the ballgame!

Since my DH travels too, I can relate to that feeling when they finally come home. It's like you can breathe again.

I love football...so I would have loved being there for the Homecoming game...but I also like the dresses. Hope you had a good time.

:-) Susan

I don't like it when Don is gone, especially now that the kids are gone too! But I've been gone for about 2 1/2 weeks and I think he was more than ready for me to come home!
