Menu Plan Monday
Another week, another meal plan! So far, so good. I followed my menu plan really well last week and we ended up only missing one of the meals but that was because of a banquet I wasn't planning for. So, let me give you what you came for:
- Monday-We have a refrigerator full of leftovers--and when I say full--I mean to overflowing. We must clean it out--TODAY!
- Tuesday-I have new deer meat in the freezer and I am going to make myself fix it. I am not crazy about it but the rest of the family likes it. My unselfish act for the day will be to fry up some venison. Not sure what I am fixing to go with it yet!
- Wednesday- Fried chicken night at church--my favorite!
- Thursday-We didn't get to the meatloaf last week so I am going to fix those today. We always have this with mashed potatoes, corn, and broccoli.
- Friday-I have a hankering for home-made chicken and rice soup. We love it. I would share the recipe except I don't have one--I just do what looks right. I have made it so many times, I don't think about the amounts--I just "eye" everything.
- Saturday-Today is the birthday of my friend's daughter and we are invited for the big 2nd birthday shin-dig! Supper is included and I am guessing, with this weather, that they will be grilling burgers! Can't wait!
I hope y'all have a really great week and that God is with you in a special way this week! Oh, and before I forget, go here for more fantastic menu plans.

I love leftover day. It makes my life a little easier :) !!
Great menu! I hope you have a fabulous week, too!
I have to agree, this weather is Wonderful! We've already used our grill at least 10 times in the past few weeks!
I must add a leftover day to my MPM, I always end up throwing away so much food at the end of the week.
Have a yummy week!!
Sounds like you have an exciting week filled with some nice socializing going on- fun! I hope you enjoy the deer meat and that your family appreciates you self-lessness! ;)
Leftover days are great.
Enjoy the deer meat...I'd have no idea how to cook it.
Have a great week!
Oh I can't wait to get the BBQ out again and grill up some burgers....my favorite. My mouth is watering.
Have a splendid week!!

Hello JennaG,
Chicken and rice soup is such a soothing invention.
On another note, you have today on your blog a "snippet" that says "Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word of God". I'd love to make that a header for my Monday Menu, or cross stitch it for my kitchen. Great reminder.
If you ever go to a monastery, there is this habit: they invite you for lunch and while you eat there is a monk reading passages about restrain. Eating as a spiritual experience.
Have a lovely week!
The chicken and rice soup sounds wonderful - as for the venison, I've never tasted it - been told it has a 'gamey' flavour though. Good luck with plowing through the left-overs! sounds like fun! Have a great week!
We had leftover day yesterday, I like my frig pretty near empty, and try to keep the left overs cleaned up! looks like a fun week ahead for you,
I love having leftovers! I've got some deer tenderized steaks in the freezer I need to do something with but am never sure how to fix them. I don't mind the sausage or ground deer but those tenderized steaks are my least favorite. I might have to change one of my meals for those while my son is home to help eat it!
Jenna,
I'm making your chicken spaghetti tonight! I'm excited to try it.
Have a great week.

Thanks for the tips! Fortuntely it is tonight's meal so I should remember! :)
Sounds like a great plan! And you get a few nights out too. I'm envious.
I really wish I could make a good soup. That is going to be one of my goals for next fall/winter--learn how to make soup. This is one thing I've yet to master.
Sounds like a yummy menu. Have a great week.
The menu looks great. Have a good week.
Good luck with the deer meat. I am not crazy about it myself. We ended up giving ours to my mother-in-law because I am not as selfless as you are!
Wish I could eat with you this week! Sounds scrumptious! :)
i wonder what a deer meat would taste like...we have a friend who hunts deer & he offered to let me taste some if i come visit him...i am curious so, i will definitely try it!
thanks for sharing!
Your recipe was delicious!!!
Thanks Jenna
