Menu Plan Monday
Another week, another meal plan! So far, so good. I followed my menu plan really well last week and we ended up only missing one of the meals but that was because of a banquet I wasn't planning for. So, let me give you what you came for:

I hope y'all have a really great week and that God is with you in a special way this week! Oh, and before I forget, go here for more fantastic menu plans.

I have to agree, this weather is Wonderful! We've already used our grill at least 10 times in the past few weeks!

I must add a leftover day to my MPM, I always end up throwing away so much food at the end of the week.

Have a yummy week!!

Sounds like you have an exciting week filled with some nice socializing going on- fun! I hope you enjoy the deer meat and that your family appreciates you self-lessness! ;)

Hello JennaG,
Chicken and rice soup is such a soothing invention.

On another note, you have today on your blog a "snippet" that says "Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word of God". I'd love to make that a header for my Monday Menu, or cross stitch it for my kitchen. Great reminder.

If you ever go to a monastery, there is this habit: they invite you for lunch and while you eat there is a monk reading passages about restrain. Eating as a spiritual experience.

Have a lovely week!

The chicken and rice soup sounds wonderful - as for the venison, I've never tasted it - been told it has a 'gamey' flavour though. Good luck with plowing through the left-overs! sounds like fun! Have a great week!

I love having leftovers! I've got some deer tenderized steaks in the freezer I need to do something with but am never sure how to fix them. I don't mind the sausage or ground deer but those tenderized steaks are my least favorite. I might have to change one of my meals for those while my son is home to help eat it!

I really wish I could make a good soup. That is going to be one of my goals for next fall/winter--learn how to make soup. This is one thing I've yet to master.

Sounds like a yummy menu. Have a great week.

Good luck with the deer meat. I am not crazy about it myself. We ended up giving ours to my mother-in-law because I am not as selfless as you are!
