Menu Plan Monday
Such a nice week around here--I stuck to my menu --except for one night. The venison actually tasted good to me. Occasionally, we get a deer that has good flavor to me and this one does. I am even planning to fix it again this week!
- Monday- fried tenderized deer steaks, macaroni and tomatoes, peas
- Tuesday-taco salad ( a warm-weather favorite around here) and chocolate cake
- Wednesday-fellowship meal at church--I think its hamburger steak and gravy--not my favorite, but I'm not cooking!
- Thursday-We will have the chicken and rice soup that I didn't get around to last week!
- Friday-Left-over day
- Saturday- I want to have company and grill hamburgers, make potato salad, and baked beans! ( I have a great, unusual recipe for baked beans that I will post below--scrumptious)
Have a great week everyone and for more great plans go see Laura's site!
Amanda's Baked Beans
2 large cans Bush's Original Baked Beans
1/3 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon mustard
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 regular sized can pineapple chunks, including some juice
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 of an onion, chopped
1 package smoked sausage, sliced
Mix all ingredients together and bake at 425 degrees for 30-45 minutes until heated though!
These are delicious and the pineapple, cinnamon, and sausage make a wonderful flavor!
Enjoy!

Your baked beans sound great! I wonder how they would be if I omitted the pineapple (remember I don't like fruit or anything that touches fruit :))
I start with the bush's original too in mine ... add most of your stuff but no sausage or cinnamon, I sautee bacon with onion and green peppers.
I think this new meal plan will help not have two or three nights in a row of one type of food. I do that sometimes ...
I finished that flower bed today! After three more trips to the plant store... 8 azalea bushes, four flats total of pansies, some snapdragons... a geranium in honor of Marmar. It all looks great and whew am I glad to have it done... you should see my nails ugh!
Your menu looks great as usual!
OMG-those beans sound great. I, too, start out with Bush's and alter them to our liking-some of what you use in yours. I'll have to try these though. The rest of your menu sounds yummy, too. Hope you have a wonderful week!
Those beans sound delicious! I may have to try those! Thanks!
Not sure if I'll get a menu done this week...yours looks good. Those beans do sound good! I'll have to save it. And I think I've finally used up all my deer tenderized steaks.
Macaroni and Tomatoes! Gosh, this is the best, LOL! It's a family favorite that goes way back through the generations around here. Comfort food! Your week sounds great!
Those beans sound good. I will have to save that one for future use! Have a great week!
I've never had macaroni & tomatoes, is it just pasta with some tomatoes?
Great Menu plan..
Happy eating.
I'm just visiting the many Menu Monday participants and watching Paula Dean make something with butter. Macaroni and Cheese in a crockpot.
Happy Menu Mondays!
Hey thanks for sharing that recipe. I truly think I will try those beans. Yum! Thanks for stopping by and for the encouragment :) God bless you and your house.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Your menu looks great, too.
I used to eat venison when I was a kid, my parents still do. My mom makes chili with venison and gets rave reviews.

Your week sounds really yummy! We used to have Wednesday night dinners at church and I loved that I didn't have to cook...or plan anything for someone else to cook!
