If The Truth Be Told
We were driving home from church last night, listening to some good music, and talking about what had happened in classes that evening, when a nice white pickup truck pulled up beside us in the passing lane. I didn't think much of it at first, but the truck stayed even with us, so I looked over--no one else was paying attention. What I found was a truck full of guys waving and honking. You know, like they were flirting or something. Whatever. Anyway, I smiled and waved and they went on. My youngest asked what those guys were doing so I told her that they must have seen something they liked--(my teenage daughter was up front too--by the way) . She said, " What? Were they blind? Can't they see you're old and married?" And that, my friends, says it all, don't you think?

You're one hot mama!
Well, you must not look "old and married!" : ) You go,girl!
How funny!
You're so not old! Married yes and must be looking good!
It might take your kids a while to realize that you aren't old and by then..........
LOL!
My kids are starting to make comments about what life must have been like "back when I was a kid." And my hubby and I are now the "old" ones in our Bible study group. (He's 36, and I'm 35.) Yikes, pretty soon I'll be "old and married" just like you!
by then..........you'll be closer!
I hit the button too soon before I was finished with the comment!
Apparently you're lookin' pretty good- and those guys didn't think you were "old and married."
LOL! Leave it to a child to knock you down a level!
You know I think you look like a famous celebrity!
How funny!!! Good come back.
I'm laughing! At you and at Lauren's comment. 'Cause I know what celebrity she thinks you look like, and that woman just somehow never gets old. What a compliment!
I wish you knew who they were....and when I'm "old and married", I want to look like you!
Oh my, yes, that's humbling. So is getting called "ma'm" in every store and restaurant I go in. Ugh. I can't figure out when the rest of the world decided I was old enough to be called ma'm :)
Not that I like a truck-load of horny-toads flirting with my woman, and not that I like the fact that said woman waved and smiled back, but I do have one "hot-mamma" for a bride. You should see how she looks in ...
"b"
ROTFL! Something must be in the water these days! I have had quite a few incidents like that happen recently. However, my teenager thinks it's cool, LOL. Libby eggs it on and I always end up red faced. I have to say, though ... you are not old and nope, they weren't blind. You've still got it, girl! :o)
Ohhhhhhhhh! I am rolling here! B! I bet Jenna is whoppin' you on the head right now, LOL!
It didn't even dawn on me about her waving and smiling until you mentioned it. Too funny! Yep, she was eggin' it on, I tell ya! LOL!
This cracks me up! This has happened to us a few times and my daughters just wave back to these loons! LOL! They have no idea why guys do that kinda thing!
Jenna! and B!!! you're too funny!!!!
CoachJ, who's the celebrity???
This reminds me of something that happened when we were on holiday a few years ago.
I was patiently waiting while a young teenager (must have been 18 because we can only get our licence at 18) parked so I could pass him in a parking lot at the mall.
And he says, "dankie tannie" which is "thank you, auntie" - Afrikaans term of respect for older women. I was HORRIFIED. Me? A "tannie". An older woman in my 20's. Dion loved it!
;)
Ahh, the little angels. Don't you love the encouragement?
That's hilarious! Guess you still got it!
LOL! Kids think everyone older than them is "OLD"! That will be a funny story when she is "old" like you someday! :)
Oh! Goodness... I'm glad I have sons! ROFL! ;^P (I'm sure she's a joy... and I *know* I would have probably said the same thing to my Mom!) You're a hot mama!
