Family Might Be Coming
*UPDATED AT END*
Thanks so much for your sweet comments regarding my homesickness. I do have plans to spend a week in Missouri the end of July--I just might be able to make it until then. And I do feel better this morning, considerably. Part of the reason is an email I received last night right after I posted about longing for Missouri and family. I just have to post a portion of it:
- "I was wondering if I could come visit the weekend of May 5th. ... Anyway, I thought I'd come for the play if at all possible. R. said he might come, but w/ us leaving the following week he won't know until closer to time, too. If it will be too hectic for you, don't want to add stress-- Let me know. Love you all."
This email came from my cousin in Missouri. I was so excited that family wanted to come visit us and see the play that B and the girls are in. Add stress? Ha! I'm very happy they might be coming and hope it works out! ( If you're reading, I love you, A.) I have a whole week and a half to plan/prepare, so I don't think it will be too terribly stressful! Now, I'm off to go make my list of things to be done...
A picture of M with my cousin's husband. They were training a retriever.
- *My aunt and uncle are coming too--maybe!*
- I just had a wonderful lunch date with my hubby--the two of us--all alone--for an hour and a half--just what this mopey soul needed!

It is great when family actually like to visit isn't it? I am happy for you that you have family coming out to ease some of that homesickness you were feeling.....
Blessings
How nice! We don't get visits from family; they all wait for us to come. Hmm, 6 airline tickets for us vs. 1 or 2 tickets for them... (we'd foot the bill, even). You'd think it was a no-brainer, but we're still left sitting out here all by our lonesome.
FUN! I know you will enjoy having family there for the play! That will make it even more special!
How fun! The play is going to be great I'm sure.
♥, Annie
Isn't God good?
What a nice surprise to receive that e-mail just when you needed it! Happy preparing!
Yay! Rejoicing with you in His faithfulness to answer that desire of your heart. He's so good! : )
A visit from family sounds like just the ticket...although I bet the lunch date was pretty great too!
Oh, I'm so happy for you. An A. hug would probably do you very good. And I'm glad you got out on an adult adventure!
Yippee!! I'm so glad some cheer was added to your day :)
Now lookie there!! If that wasn't *meant to be*, after feeling the way you were yesterday, then I don't know what is! I'm so glad you have family to look forward to seeing ... and so soon! :o)
A visit from family AND a private lunch date with hubby?! Cool!
I am so glad you are feeling better! I am so sorry that I missed your homesick post. I totally understand that. We are closer to family now than we've ever been. I worry that we are getting spoiled and the next move will be harder.
I am so excited that they are coming to visit. Have FUN!
Well, if this isn't the perfect solution to your homesickness, I don't know what is. Perfect timing!
We lived in Creve Couer for two years and moved to St. Charles and lived there for two years before we came home to Colorado. I know what you mean about it still being "home" no matter how long you've been away.
Tickled pink you have family coming for a visit.
I'm so glad that A. and R. might be coming! I hope that works out! I know how you feel--I'm homesick, too!:)
