My Southern Belle--and The See-Saw
I wanted to show a picture of my little southern belle. NOT! When my little girl is home, she usually looks just like this--what you can't see is the DIRT! She always wears the military hat outside and is barefoot when possible.
The twins made their own see-saw today. We have finished our school year (except for math), and they are enjoying their free time by being outdoors. They spent a ton of time on this this morning. I'm excited for them and the long summer they have ahead of them--their last one as home-schooled children. I remember the summers lasting forever--don't you? Now, it seems like it's over before it ever had time to start. Ahhh, childhood! Have a wonderful summer, kids.

You know, sometimes tomboys grow up to be the most graceful, elegant of young ladies. You never know :)

Love the picture and love their see-saw. I hope they have a fantastic summer! Like you, I remember them lasting so long. It doesn't seem like kids get nearly as much down time now.

Have a great day!

My two-year old daughter has just started taking her shoes off whenever she is outside (my son has never done this). I guess I can get ready for days of black feet! The seesaw looks great!

What fun!
My kids are so excited about Summer too. Theirs will begin next Friday and my life will be a lot louder during the day time :o).

I bought some dark choc altoids today, I don't like dark choc and I don't like altoids, but because you had mentioned them I thought they were worth a try (and I happen to see them on a endcap at CVS). They are good! I actually like them and the best part is when you finish them your breath is cool and minty. Not as harsh as the normal altoids. So, thanks my friend for the recommmendation.

Tomorrow is Savannah's last day of preschool and I think I'm the only one whose excited! It totally reminds me of when I was younger and thinking "I can get up whenever I want"!

It's a little different since I now have kids, but I'm still getting the giddy feeling! :)

Awww, how cute!! Your daughter reminds me of my Sadie. She loves being outside, in teh dirt, playing with bugs, saving critters, and just playing with anything *natural*. I hope your kids enjoy their summer. We homeschool year round but take breaks as we want/need them. Mine play outside until lunch time and then we do school work ... and after their work is done, they're right back out the door. So, they still get lots of play time. :o)

It looks like they're having fun! And how creative to make your own see saw.
I used to love summers and the kids being out of school!

Both my girls are tomboys. I guess I am too and I sure was growing up! My 8 year old does like girly things and likes to dress herself up whereas my almost 13 year old won't have that!

Love the picture and your kids are adorable!
