Menu Plan Monday
I just can't tell you how glad I am that last week is over. Our family is finally going to be able to slow down a little and recover from "Annie". My extended family was not able to come after all--which we were sad about--but understood. The play was just wonderful--I will post about it tomorrow-hopefully. For now, I need to get this week's meals planned. Here's what I've got for now.
- Monday- My mentor is making dinner for all her "mentee's" tonight--and then we are having a scavenger hunt--with my mentor, there is no telling what this will involve. This is our last meeting before our summer break. I don't know what I will be having (I know it will be good) and the rest of my family is eating left-over stuffed pasta shells, green beans, and corn.
- Tuesday-Chicken stir-fry over rice-- I enjoyed this so much last week that I planned for it again.
- Wednesday-Fried Chicken at church.
- Thursday-Hamburger casserole, green peas, green salad
- Friday-Burgers on the grill, corn on cob, french fries or maybe potato salad. (We didn't get to the burgers last week.)
- Saturday-leftovers
- Sunday-Out to eat and I'm making a German chocolate cake and something Mexican to take to Life groups.

I wish I could be there for the Mentoring dinner and scavenger hunt! Tell everyone I said hi!!
Awww, I'm sorry your family couldn't make it. I hope you are able to relax some this week. Your menu sounds great! :o)
My mom makes the most delicious german choc cake, I'll have to hint about that... thanks for the reminder. The scavenger hunt sounds like so much fun. It seems like there is just nothing fun going on around here :o( (that's my pouty face) and I can't wait to hear about Annie!
I know you are doing a deep exhale today!
Nice and simple...just how I like it! I'm glad you are recovering from "Annie" but sorry your family couldn't make it. Hopefully you took a lot of pictures or some video footage for them!
We love Mexican food! We eat at the Mexican restaurant up the street whenever we get a chance.
Yes, nice and simple. But it all sounds SO good!!!
The dinner and scavenger hunt sounds fun!!
Sounds good jenna!
I love a scavenger hunt, hope it was fun!
And burgers on the grill sounds really good right now.
How fun! How did you come to have a mentor? Sounds great!
: )
Wow, that all sounds good, especially the stuffed shells and the chicken stir fry. Is the stir-fry posted somewhere on line? I have trouble making stir-fry's at home -even in my wok, I can't seem to get things crispy (mine always comes out sorta soggy!).
Hope you have a wonderful week!!
