Weekend Reflection
We've had such a busy week this week--I don't even know where to begin. I'll just skim the highlights...
- I started out the week feeling very blue. I stayed home from my mentoring group on Monday evening because it was the only night B would be home in the evening for two solid weeks.
- Tuesday, I burned a CD of my mom singing for my dad. She passed away 20 years ago, and somehow, my dad had never gotten a copy of this. He's been waiting for me to do it since last summer.
- Several days were filled with errands. Lots of stuff to take care of with company coming, a banquet, and a play.
- Friday, we set up for the TBQ banquet--which took several hours. I also received a lovely poem from my sister (that she wrote)--it was so cute and funny and just made my day.
- Today, we had a parent work day for "Annie"--it did not take very long, and the kids ended up rehearsing for awhile. I finally went and bought all the flowers I want for my yard. I have plans of getting them all planted "tomorrow, tomorrow, I'll love ya, tomorrow." (Excuse me for that, but I have been listening to Annie songs for months and months.) Tonight was the night of the long-awaited TBQ Banquet. I did talk K into one picture. She looks just lovely!

She's so pretty!
Wow, I'm tired just reading about your week. I'm glad you perked up and that you are having company! That poem was so precious. Your sister sounds like a really neat person.
Just remember ♫ your never fully dressed without a smile. ♫
♥, Annie
K. looks sooo pretty!! Tell her I said so please! I bet the banquet was fun and I'm not surprised that she won high scorer!
You had an incredibly busy week! I would love to hear your mom singing sometime if you don't mind sharing that! I know that is very special for you to have!
Love you, friend!
Sounds like a good week! I need to get flowers for my yard but I've been lazy! I love that your sister wrote you a poem and your daughter looks lovely.
Just remember, the sun will come out, tomorrow, so you gotta hang on til tomorrow, there'll be sun!
She looks so pretty! Glad she let you share at least one pix! :)
Awww, I'm so glad she allowed you to post her picture. She's a beautiful young lady! :o)
I hope your weekend has been good and that the blues you had earlier are gone now.
What a week! Maybe the coming week will be a little easier? After you get all the flowers planted, of course. I did that this weekend and believe me, it's hard work.
She looks so, so pretty. Congratulations on the unexpected award. It's too bad Dad couldn't be there.
About your previous post? I'm so with you on the Cheetos and Coke. Has to be the crunchy kind (can't stand the puffs) and the Coke has to be the real thing, the kind that has 300 calories per bottle in it. :-)
Your daughter is so pretty! Sounds like a lot went on in your neck of the woods this week! I hope you have many blessings in the week to come!
Beautiful picture! Jenna, that CD sounds so sweet. I am sure your Dad really appreciates it. Have a good rest of your weekend!
Congrats to your daughter on her award for the TBQ high scorer! What a lovely picture too!
K looks lovely. Does it scare you to see her looking so grown up? My daughter just started wearing nylons and, wow! I'm not sure I'm ready for this!
Jenna,
Your daughter is beautiful! Sounds like a special night.
Congrats to your lovely daughter on high scorer. (I can only imagine how much effort that takes!) How cute is a rap about Acts! I bet that was a fun night!
Paying to bowl a game would have been a great idea! I guess I was brain dead because it never even occured to me! : )
Have a great week!
She looks so pretty! I know Daddy will appreciate the pictures. Stephen left this morning for 3 weeks, but he did get to run with them Friday night. I hope next week is a good one for you!
She's adorable!!
