We've had such a busy week this week--I don't even know where to begin. I'll just skim the highlights...

• I started out the week feeling very blue. I stayed home from my mentoring group on Monday evening because it was the only night B would be home in the evening for two solid weeks.
• Tuesday, I burned a CD of my mom singing for my dad. She passed away 20 years ago, and somehow, my dad had never gotten a copy of this. He's been waiting for me to do it since last summer.
• Several days were filled with errands. Lots of stuff to take care of with company coming, a banquet, and a play.
• Friday, we set up for the TBQ banquet--which took several hours. I also received a lovely poem from my sister (that she wrote)--it was so cute and funny and just made my day.
• Today, we had a parent work day for "Annie"--it did not take very long, and the kids ended up rehearsing for awhile. I finally went and bought all the flowers I want for my yard. I have plans of getting them all planted "tomorrow, tomorrow, I'll love ya, tomorrow." (Excuse me for that, but I have been listening to Annie songs for months and months.) Tonight was the night of the long-awaited TBQ Banquet. I did talk K into one picture. She looks just lovely!

They all had a grand time tonight--I'm so proud of all the kids involved, but especially my baby. She received the award tonight for TBQ High Scorer. She wasn't expecting that and was very happy to get it. We hate daddy was out of town, but we took lots of pictures so that he will get to see. Hope you all have a great weekend. • Sunday-My hubby was supposed to fly during church and wasn't able to because of the weather. He walked in during praise and worship and surprised me! Loved that. We had a good lunch with our friends, T. and K.--and B. got hit with a little msg--it wasn't too bad though. Eating out can be very difficult for him!
• Monday-I stayed home the entire day. Got the laundry done and the bills paid.
• Tuesday-B's grandmother fell and broke her hip--she is doing very well. She just said she's not overly happy with the nurses!
• Wednesday-I did not feel well all day--tummy woes! I even left church early and left Coach J working all alone on a project we are doing together. I've felt bad about that the past couple days. Let me just say that it was good that I left! ;)
• Thursday- I enjoyed my Riverwalk walking with my friend. The weather was just perfect for it. My son and I had a nice evening at home while B and the girls were at drama practice. The play is coming up in a couple of weeks--they are in the musical, "Annie"! B is Oliver (Daddy) Warbucks. Thank goodness, he doesn't have to shave his head.
• Friday-We had a great family night--I just posted about it. We love to Farkle!
• Saturday-Today, we have a Teen Bible Quiz car wash in the morning and a 16th birthday bash in the afternoon/evening. They are having a digital scavenger hunt--which will be a hit, I'm sure! B and K went to the car wash and I am getting stuff done around here--you know, important stuff, like blogging! No, actually, I must get busy--Have a great weekend.

--The Not So Good: B. was sick on Monday night and I felt so bad for him. We are pretty sure it was caused by MSG--the enemy of B's life! It was a tough night for him, and we were tired on Tuesday. He had to stay home from work--which he never does! He is completely recovered now and is taking care of the yard this morning!

• -- The Good:I was able to get the twin's closets and dressers gone through. This is such a chore and it was so nice to have all the "too-small" clothes packed up and ready to give away. Everything is nice and neat and ready for the Spring/Summer! Everyone has everything they need for the warmer weather. Thank the Lord!
• --The Better: I went to BAM and bought 5 books! Wow, that was a blast. I already had in mind the one's I wanted so it didn't take that long. I have already started one-"The Poisonwood Bible". I'm excited about participating in the Spring Reading Thing! (Hopefully, I will get in some good reading time this weekend!)
• --The Best: The Concert was a lot of fun last night. Aaron Shust was my favorite. It was obvious that he is new on the scene, but everyone really livened up when he sang, "My Saviour, My God". Love that song! I can honestly take or leave Audio Adrenaline. Please, don't be offended. I did enjoy the "Big, Big House" song and a couple others. I found it very interesting that Mercy Me use to open for Audio Adrenaline, and now it is the other way around. Many were sad that Audio Adrenaline is breaking up. Oh, and let me say that I haven't seen a Mohawk like the one I saw last night on one of the band members since I was in NYC two years ago-- Pretty impressive! Mercy Me was very good. I did tell B. , at one point, that I must be getting old, because I think I prefer studio-controlled music--like Cd's! I had a hard time understanding what they were saying. Their "I Can Only Imagine" was the best of the night--probably since I already new all the words. We had a great dinner at Ruby Tuesday's. I love their salad bar so much--it's a good thing we don't have one here--or is it? What harm could salad do?I also ran into a dear friend that, even though we live in the same town, I haven't seen her in awhile. She went through the loss of her hubby 5 years ago (who was one my husband's dearest friends) and it was so nice to talk to her and to see her so happy. She looked great!
• --We have big plans for tonight! Woo hoo! Hallmark is showing "Love's Unending Legacy", which is the next in the Love Comes Softly series of movies. The whole family has been looking forward to it all week. I have already bought the grape soda and popcorn for our family movie night.
• --Tomorrow, we are excited about celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. I will be singing in the choir on Sunday morning, and after church, we have been invited to a family's home for a wonderful ham dinner. We are heading out with some friends in the evening to see a local church's Easter production. We have a full weekend, and life is good! God bless y'all, and have a wonderful RESURRECTION DAY! • The Not So Good: I had my yearly "womanly" exam this week. I hate doing this so much that I really only go every two years. My OB told me today that he could right an entire book for each of my pregnancies. Eventful? Why, yes, they were. Another post for another day.
• The Good: Life Groups were at our house and we had a great time of fellowship and good food.
• The Better: I exercised every day this week. I talked to my sister on the phone for awhile and that is always a wonderful part of my week. She's a nut and always makes me laugh. The kids and I went to Tupelo and visited Elvis' birthplace and went shopping at the mall. We found Easter dresses and other spring/summer clothes and ...
• The Best: My kids are finished with their testing. Yahoo and Yippee!

• Monday-We had an appointment with the school principal. She was so sweet and made the kids feel very comfortable about going next year. They are truly excited.
• Tuesday-The weather was great and I enjoyed a nice long walk at the riverwalk with my dear friend. And you should see the beautiful wisteria blooming in my yard. If I wasn't so lazy right now, I would go take a picture and post it!
• Wednesday- This was the day that B's brother called and said his stepson was very ill. I am so happy to report that he went home yesterday, completely back to normal. His blood has been sent all over the place to try to determine exactly what happened. They are even questioning a stroke now. We are just believing that God healed him! He is completely capable, THAT we know!
• Thursday-Errands--need I say more?
• Friday-I was so busy on Friday, that I only got to sit at the computer for about thirty minutes--can you imagine? I had two meals to coordinate for a lady in our church who just had a baby, a house to clean for company and Life Groups, a trip to Belk's for some gift buying--and a little shopping for A and M, and multiple other boring chores. I did, actually, get to sit with my family in the evening and watch "Flicka". It was a good movie--clean.
• Today, we have a birthday party and a ballgame in the afternoon, and company is coming for dinner, and I have a meal to deliver to the other side of town. Oh, and we got so much accomplished with our review this week that I feel really good about the kids testing next week!

I wanted to mention that a couple of my kirl-friends (know in real life) found my blog this week! I hadn't told a soul about this little online obsession until I opened my big mouth last weekend about the Beth Moore blog and one of my friends said, "Oh, I read that..and Boomama.net." I said, "You know Boomama?" and from then on, there was no hiding the fact that I had a blog. I tried to be very secretive, but they both found me this week! So, hello to Jenny and Amanda--I love you guys! Now keep your mouths shut!

1. Chinese on Sunday for lunch, a nice pot-luck at our house after Life-groups
2. Since I felt bad Monday, I was so glad someone left a whole bucket of KFC for supper.
3. Tuesday, I had my fake blonde put in. That probably made my hubby happier than anyone as he hates my "skunk-stripe"!
4. Wednesday and Thursday were big errand days and I am so glad I got a lot done!
5. Friday we went for a nice steak dinner--we even let the kids order steak--that's a big treat around here. Except for the bug crawling in M.'s salad, we had a wonderful time and had a nice discount to boot!
6. Today, we finished up a big fundraiser for Teen Bible Quiz and that makes me very happy! Both of the twins scored several times in their respective games and that made them happy and me very proud!

• We actually had someone invite us over on Sunday for lunch. She made wonderful Chicken and Dumplings and a roast--oh, it was so good--especially since I didn't have to cook it! Other than accidentally spraying my hostess with the faucet sprayer, it was a wonderful time! Water all over her and the wood floors! Oops!
• B. was off on Monday and after he finished doing the taxes, we went to see Bridge to Terebithia with some friends. That was such a good movie--I read the book in 5th grade and loved it then. The movie is a wonderful example of friendship and imagination! You should definitely see it...
• Tuesday, we were back to the school grind--and busy with home-school PE and Upwards basketball practice. B. coaches both of the twins teams and K. helps him so I had the evening to myself. I ended up blogging the whole time! :)
• We are studying the Prayer of Jabez at church on Wednesday night and I am loving it. I have asked God to expand my blogging territory! I really want to be able to help whoever I can--especially with prayer! So, if you need prayer for anything...
• Yesterday, I had the wonderful pleasure of walking the river-walk with my friend. It was sunny and 75 degrees and the three mile walk was glorious. We celebrated the walk by going to a local ice-cream shop for brownie sundae's afterwards! Hey, I exercise specifically so that I can eat what I want!
• This morning a friend called and asked us to her house for dinner tonight. I love it when that happens--twice this week--that's like a miracle or something! I'm looking forward to it. I've been to Curves this morning and cleaned up the trash in the yard from a raccoon getting into our cans last night--oh the joys of living in the woods! My kids said there was animal vomit all over it--I choose to believe it was something else! Yuck!
• Tomorrow we have Upward basketball games and an In-House Teen Bible Quiz match--should be fun--if the weather cooperates! Pray for my trees--we always do when a storm is coming--don't want them dropping on my house. I'll post a picture so you can see what I mean!
