May Day Challenge
Ok--I've decided to go for it and try to lose those pesky few pounds I've been wanting to lose. I know I don't have too much to lose--but my mom always told me to lose it while there's not much.
I never had any problems with my weight until I hit my thirties. Since then, I have had to continually watch what I eat and I started exercising very regularly in the last year and a half (I'm almost 39.) I had no choice but to start the exercising (by going to Curves and running) as my weight was going up in spite of my careful eating. I want to lose 6-8 pounds. I have gone to a calorie counter website and have calculated how many calories I can eat every day in order to lose this amount by September 18th. I can also keep my food and exercise log there. I have to say that I am pretty weak in the whole junk food area--I won't be able to give up that Coke at lunch, --something else will have to go!! My plan of attack is to cut way back on desserts. So, pray for me and all the others who have entered this challenge. I'm excited! I guess I had better go out and buy me some scales--weigh-in's are on Tuesdays.

I read this as I sit here at 10:45 PM eating a hotdog and drinking a Coke, LOL. Thank goodness I'm preggy and have an excuse for being a porky pig ~ otherwise, I'd be in *twubble*, LOL!
Good luck with your challenge! Love your line of thinking... can't get rid of the Coke...something else has gotta go! I knew I liked you! :o)
Good for you! I really should be joining you, but instead I'm making Butterfinger desserts! :)
I should have seen yesterday's shopping choices (in my last post) a warning sign about this. I may join in with you friend!
We don't even have a scale in our house. Sometimes I think that's a good thing and other times...not so much.
I hope you do well with this challenge, Jenna!
GOod luck. Looking forward to hearing how you do
LOL! I'm eating chocolate covered peanuts right now and have no intention of stopping! LOL! I really need to lose about 20 pounds so maybe I'll consider it and join you! Maybe....
Good luck, Jenna! I know you can do it, but I must say that you look super in every picture I've ever seen of you!
Yeah, you can have the scales that I don't use that are in my bathroom......
Is Sept. 18th a special day?
My hubby is trying to loose weight and I could do to loose 6-8 lbs. myself. I am half heartedly doing the South Beach diet with him. Hopefully, half hearted dieting but lots more exercise will do it?!: ) What web site do you go to?
That is so neat!!
I love to meet men (and haven't met too many) who have gone all through the Ranger program! They seem to excellent men.(but that may just be the Lord in their life and not due to Rangers) I wish you guys had an outpost.
I bet there is a special blessing for women who "teach the younger women...." : )
good luck!
Hey girl, I joined, too. I started April 27th though and have a week's head start on everyone. I weighed today and have lost 6 lbs. I have a lot more to lose than you do - I'm shooting for 25 lbs. You're right about things changing in your 30's. 35 did me in. Time to get back in control!!
Hey Jenna! Good luck with the challenge. I loved the pictures from Annie is your other post. I hope your week is going good this week.
I've joined up too! I'm so glad we'll be in this together. Frankly, I haven't done much to merit a worthy posting on Tuesday, but I hope to! Blessings on your weekend, and especially your Mother's Day.
Good luck on this!! I'm on the same path - I've lost 30 lbs since last summer and I hope to keep it up.
Cheering you on!!
I'm so glad I found this! I was trying this on my own but it's really hard so I'm excited about joining everyone for this challenge.
