Bronchitis
Well, if I said I wasn't a little worried, I'd be lying. A. really isn't all that much better today--even after his mega steroid shot last night. The NP today put him on yet another drug--Singulair. She wanted to start an antibiotic, but has decided to wait until she sees him on Friday. He really has always responded to his meds before --I'm just not able to figure out why he isn't this time.
And let me just say that I no longer have a calm and serene son. He is PINGING off the walls. It's funny for awhile, but it quickly becomes tiring to keep saying, "A., settle down." A., please try to calm down." "A., be still." "A., that isn't appropriate." Ugh--this steroid thing--it's a love-hate relationship.
Well, we are off to the dentist. We all have appointments today--except I have cancelled A's. There's no way he could keep his mouth open without coughing.
Oh--and to add insult to injury--our brand spanking new TV is messed up--have to return it...
I'm still feeling the joy though!! More later...

Awww, Jenna, this stinks!
I will most certainly pray for A. and for YOU, too, as you care for your son and attempt to do it without losing your mind.
I'm so sorry to hear bout A's troubles! I'll be praying for you. Zaya has cold-induced asthma also. It starts with that horrible dry asthma cough, progresses to wheezing for about 24 hours, then ends in a reltively normal, productive cough for a week or so. Over and over and over. We had his tonsils out this last spring, and his last two colds resulted in only minor asthma. We broke out the nebulizer, but didn't have to go up to the steroids or the Singulair again, praise God.
I'm glad you're still feeling the joy, Jenna. Not sure I would be. I hope he starts getting better soon. I'm sure it's a little scary.
Thank you for stopping by again and for being patient with me. Rest assured your name is in the hat for the wedding favor giveaway.
I've been keeping A in my prayers! Praying this new med works and that the steroids wear off soon!
Praying for you!
Oh no! I was praying he's feel a ton better by now. Of course your story about his meds just made me laugh. I was like that & my mom hated it when we got sick together. They'd give us the same meds and I'd bounce off the walls, while they put her to sleep. She'd have to wait on my dad to get home from work to entertain me before she could take hers.
Awww...sorry about the sickness and the meds! Hope A is better soon! :)
Awww, I know what ya mean about the steroids. They're a double edged sword. Sadie's been on them daily for almost 5 years now. I'm so sorry that A. is still feeling so yucky! I'll keep praying for him...and you! (((Jenna)))
Have been praying for A. Hope he is feeling better now. Keep us updated!
