Menu Plan Monday
This will be an extremely abbreviated cooking week for me. The kids and I are headed to the Chicago area for the Junior Bible Quiz National Competition. (Please pray for us as we travel and compete)
- Monday--Crockpot Meatloaf (because Annie keeps raving about it), corn-on-cob, and mashed potatoes
- Tuesday--Today is K's 15th birthday. In our family, you get to pick dinner on your birthday. Her choices are: Fried chicken tenders, sweet potato casserole, green beans, and chocolate pound cake
Thankfully, these two meals should provide enough leftovers for B to eat the rest of the week. I already have chicken and rice soup frozen for him.
I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed week.

You guys will definately be in my prayers.
Your two day menu looks yummy. I could eat a piece of chocolate pound cake right now as a matter of fact....

It all sounds good to me, the birthday meal sounds tasty also.
Happy 15th B-day to K.
Happy Birthday to K, and you guys have a wonderful and safe trip :)
Rock on Bible Quiz Competition! (Swords up!)
I'm trying a crockpot meatloaf this week too - not the one you are doing, but we'll see how they both turn out!
That sounds so good!! The ingredients are pretty much identical to what I put in my "regular" meat loaf, but I bet it is especially good in the crockpot!!
Good luck at the competition!!
Yea, that chocolate pound cake sounds too good for me to be thinkin' about it. Have a good trip! And enjoy it...
Hope they have an awesome experience quizzing! So, glad they are going. Our group came in third at regionals a couple of weeks ago, so they didn't make it.
The new TBQ coach talked to my son and now Nathan is thrilled to pieces about joining TBQ. yay!
I'll be praying for your team!
Hope your trip is wonderful. We'll pray for your safe travels. The meatloaf does sound good and Annie did rave about it so we'll have to try it too! I'll save it for next week!
Your light weight week sounds great. We also let the birthday person pick the meals around here.
Safe travel & enjoy. I love leftovers.
Finally have my meme post up from your tag a LONG LONG time ago. :)

Have a safe trip, Jenna. And good luck at that competition. Can't wait to hear the results.
I want to try making the Crockpot Meat Loaf too...my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Have fun at the quiz meet! My church had quizzing when I was growing up too!
I still remember verses that I probably never would have memorized if not for quizzing!
Very Cool!
Happy birthday K!
I'm going to maybe try that crockpot meatloaf. I've seen several recipes for it. I swore off meatloaf a few months back when the one I made turned out really....BAD. I don't know why, I've made it millions of times. Ugh.
Have a safe trip and good luck!
God bless :)
~Prayed for your team early this morning! (Saturday)
Blessings,
Becky
