My Son and The Snake I Killed--Quite on Accident
Our son is doing much better since he started taking the antibiotics. As a matter of fact, he was much better just a few hours after his first dose. He did have a bad hour or two last night after I let him eat ice cream. He hadn't had it in 9 days and was going through withdrawals. Ice cream is normally a forbidden food when you are having trouble breathing. He was so much better, though. I thought a little would be OK. In other news, I ran over a snake last night--right in front of our house. On accident, of course. You can ask my family--I won't purposely kill anything--not even a nasty 'possum or armadillo. I just can't do it. Anyway, we went to inspect it after I hit it--and the poor thing was pregnant--quite. There were a bunch of little baby snakes scattered around it. I felt really, really bad. And if that snake hadn't been heading straight for my yard to possibly deliver all those little snakeys, I would be down right upset--Maybe even shed some tears--the poor little mommy snake. I choose to call it Divine Intervention, though. Thank you Lord for saving me from a complete and total screaming fit when I saw 14 million snakes in my yard. Have a great weekend.

We don't kill things either but snakes + me = much fear! I don't like them, don't want to touch them, and don't want them anywhere near my dwelling! I think I would have fainted if I had seen all of the little baby snakes!

Ok, how in the world did you manage to kill a snake just by running over it? I tried that all through high school and they'd just adjust their spines and keep right on crawling. I was never ever able to kill one. It really must have been divine intervention!!

Glad your son is feeling better!! I'll take his ice cream until he's all better... :)

Maybe I have no heart..but honestly I wouldn't have felt bad about it. Hate snakes...luckily since we've moved to the country I've only encountered 4 of them!

Yes, definitely divine intervention. I would have to move if I saw anything like that at my house. Whew!

OK, I have such a phobia of these creatures, that I almost couldn't read this post. Seriously. It's that bad. I can't even type the word. So, don't feel bad, you kill all of them that you see...you might just save someone such as myself a heart attack at the mere sight of one:-)

I hate snakes too! The only good snake is a dead snake in my opinion. And I think I'd have to agree with Judi, I just might have to move if I found that!

Just found your blog tonight via Leahbelle...

Ooohhh, I am deathly afraid of snakes. My husband and I were hiking a few weeks ago and I stepped OVER a snake. I startled the snake and it jumped too, but not as high as I did. I was screaming and running like mad to get far, far away, and my husband was laughing at me. And I didn't think it was one bit funny.

A few less snakes in the world is just fine by me.
